Disclaimer: They're not mine. I'm only playing.
A/N: Written for petronelle in the LoM Ficathon 2010 with the prompt: Sam/Gene/Annie in which everyone is included relatively equally, emotionally speaking. Any rating is fine.
( 'Gene, you cannot take advantage of Annie this way.' Collapse )
I have a question: Do we have an address for Gene, or even just a house number? I'm pretty sure it wasn't mentioned on the show, but it may have come up somewhere else.

Summary: A dead body in the library means much more to Bodie than he dares to let on. An undercover assignment for Ray Doyle draws on skills he thought he'd finished with years previously. When the assignment is finished and secrets have been learned, can they go back to working together as before, or have the dynamics of their partnership shifted irrevocably?

I now have a title for my Pros Big Bang fic. That must mean it's nearly finished.
Am I tempting fate by thinking it's looking good? *g*
Aaarrrgghhh!!! The auto tag thingy still isn't working. I'll end up with a gazillion tags if I'm not careful.

I'll be in the corner with the dunce's cap on.
On a more positive note, no.3 son is home from his extended school trip. They all had a lovely time and were complimented on their behaviour and manners. He says he didn't have any trouble sleeping except for the last night when his room-mates were convinced they would die from the plague. I think they'd been to Eyam that day *g*
The plot is coming along along nicely, although I fear the rough draft will have comments like 'insert sex scene here' or 'B&D undercover' *g* I edit as I go along, so once it's all written it shouldn't take too long for me to get it to a beta. <---- Looks easy when I put it that way *g*
Mind you, this meant we could watch Sherlock Holmes at a decent hour instead of having to wait for him to go to bed. I can feel a Pros marathon coming on for tonight because I like to indulge no. 2 son who hasn't watched all of the episodes yet. Also, it's good research for my BB fic which still needs a lot of work. 6 days to go!
Off to work. Just a short shift today :)
In the words of one Ronald Weasley.... "Can we panic now?"
I've just received a message saying that I'm up to do the crack_van recs for Life on Mars next month. It's a bit short notice, but at least it'll give me a valid excuse for not working on my Pros BB fic *g*
Anyway, I thought I remembered seeing that someone has done a list of everything that's been recced so far on crack_van . I know that I can look through the crack_van tags, but it would be easier if I could search by author rather than scrolling through all the entries. Does anyone know where this list is? Please don't tell me I'm dreaming it up, because that would make me very unhappy...
Lastly, if there's anything you think I absolutely must read, watch or squee over, then let me know. I can't promise I'll love it as much as you do, but I'll give it a look through *g*
Thanks guys <3

This was made by the lovely and talented norfolkdumpling for Valentines Day. It's a popular picture with the slashers and I love what ND has done with it. I usually chop and change my wallpapers, but I love the colours on this and I don't think I'll be changing it anytime soon. I've cleared most of my icons off the desktop so I can see the Lads in all their... glory. *g* My sons used to make kissy noises when they first saw it, but they've got used to it now *g*

Prompt: No. 30: The conference hotel is overbooked. Harry and Snape are forced to share a room. They still hold a flame for one another years after their broken relationship.
Summary: Severus attends a conference and the last hotel room is double-booked, forcing him to share with Harry Potter. They had a relationship years ago just after the war and it ended disastrously. Potter is now divorced and Severus is still single due to the fact that no other man has ever matched up to Potter. Does Harry still feel the same way about Severus? And will they both admit it before the conference is over?
A/N: Written for the snarry-a-thon over at snape_potter and re-posted here to keep an eye on it *g* Betaed at short notice by the marvellous accioslash. I love this cliché so I had to write it. Epilogue compliant if you believe that a double-spy Potions Master wouldn't frequently put himself in the vicinity of a poisonous snake owned by a megalomaniac without having some sort of antidote on hand. Which we all do, obviously.

There are days when he longs for his old life back: to have finger-tip access to country-wide databases and to command respect from officers who have seen his rise from the ranks.
There are nights when he longs for his king-sized bed with its crisp white sheets. Nights when he can't sleep and sits by his grimy window watching the streetlights flicker through the rain.
And there are nights when he listens to the rhythmic breathing of the man lying in bed beside him. And Sam puts his hand gently over Gene's heart to reassure himself that it's all real.

I'm going through my entries on lifein1973, retagging what needs to be done. I've been putting it off, to be honest, because I dislike labelling things. I have no idea what categories half my fics should come under (the other half are straightforward pwp, of course *g*) and on some I'm not sure if they've crossed the humour line into crack or not, so I've left well alone. The Phyllis/Litton fic was always intended to be cracky, so I have no problems with that one *g*
It's taking me longer than it should because if I can't recall the fic I have to read it. And then the comments. And then I'm reminiscing about those who used to post in the comm back in the day and resisting the urge to go and re-read their fics *g*
*takes deep breath* I'm going back in...
